The Plaza de Mayo is as fundamental to Argentine. The square is a political hub, financial and administrative center and throughout history has been a symbol of disaster, rebellion and hope.

San Telmo is the barrio that lies six blocks from Plaza de Mayo. It’s the oldest barrio in Buenos Aires. It dates back to the 17th century, when it was first home to dockworkers and brick-makers, and later became an industrial area.

Puerto Madero was originally a port. Nowadays, Puerto Madero is an ecological reserve that sits between the high rises in Puerto Madero and the Rio de la Plata. It’s a very popular weekend spot for birdwatchers, walkers and cyclists. Finally, there are some good bars, clubs and restaurants, but you’ll pay well over the odds to sample their wares.

Is a botanical garden located in the Palermo neighborhood. The garden, which was declared a national monument in 1996, holds approximately 5,500 species of plants, trees and shrubs, as well as a number of sculptures, monuments and five greenhouses.

The most famous and imposing glaciers in this National Park is the Perito Moreno Glacier, located at the southern end, opposite the Magallanes Peninsula, 78 Km. from El Calafate.

El Calafate is a city in Patagonia, Argentina. It is an important tourist destination as the hub to visit different parts of the Los Glaciares National Park, including the Perito Moreno Glacier and the Cerro Chaltén and Cerro Torre.
